Building community for our kids.

The Liberated Oak Cliff PTA strives to support and advocate for our children by partnering with the wider community to create a safe and inclusive learning community where all students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Roles and Committees

  • The president of the PTA is the orchestrator of the organization. They are responsible for overseeing the other parent volunteers and are the main liaison between the PTA and the school administration. The president primarily deals in whole-school programming and should have previously served in the PA in some capacity.

  • The Communications Chair is responsible for all emails, flyers, marketing materials and coordinating with the official LMOC Google Calendar.

  • The treasurer is responsible for managing the PA’s finances. They will take the lead on fundraising efforts and setting budgets for events. The treasurer will also be the main contact for the bank account.

  • The secretary is responsible for taking notes during meetings and documenting the details of events for future reference.

  • The Events chair is responsible for finding new opportunities for community building and facilitating those events.

  • The hospitality chair(s) are responsible for ensuring there’s a welcoming environment for all parents and children at Liberated and leading the Room Parent program.
